Why Vey · Mobile workspace

A smaller screen.
Your usual PC work.

The useful part starts after you connect: change monitors, zoom into your work, and move between a desktop and server terminals without juggling apps.

Choose how you work
Choose finger touchpad or direct touch, then set your physical mouse or trackpad separately. Device-position input and pointer following make enlarged desktops easier to navigate; cursor behavior also depends on your host.
Monitors, one button away
Change monitors with the toolbar, dock it to any screen edge, or hide it when you need the space. Record your own keyboard shortcuts and set host commands per PC.
Start with your usual PC
Choose your usual PC and Vey can start its Desktop connection when the app opens. A dropped connection can retry up to three times, and you can cancel while it tries.
SSH when you need it
Open a terminal for each server and keep Desktop connected while you work in SSH. Use password or key authentication, and verify the server fingerprint before trusting a new connection.
Zoom without losing your place
Pinch to zoom, move the view, or follow the pointer. Share plain text with supported hosts and check FPS, RTT and frame loss in a compact readout that expands when you need detail.
Your list, on your devices
Optional encrypted Google Drive sync and Tailscale access are being prepared for mobile. They are separate from local connections; production account setup and release validation are still in progress.

Installation

A client where you work. A host on the PC you access.

Mobile apps

Development builds exist for iOS/iPadOS and Android 8.0+. Public App Store and Google Play downloads are not available yet.

A free client for your PC

Vey Desktop Free

The free Windows and Mac client now has desktop and SSH tabs in one workspace. Keep multiple PC sessions open, return to an existing connection, and confirm before disconnecting.

Desktop SSH uses system OpenSSH. Windows needs the optional OpenSSH Client feature; passwords are entered in the terminal and are not saved.

A free host for the computer you connect to

Vey Host Free

Install Vey Host on the computer you want to access. It sends the screen and audio, receives input and advertises supported Vey controls. macOS and Windows installers are being tested for release.

Compatible streaming hosts can connect too. Vey-specific cursor, clipboard and monitor controls require host support.
